Terms of Service
Last updated: November 12, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using AssistBee ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including both free and paid subscribers.
2. Description of Service
AssistBee is an AI-powered interview assistance application that provides:
- Real-time speech-to-text transcription
- AI-generated interview response suggestions
- Screen capture and analysis
- System and microphone audio processing
The Service is designed to assist users during interviews and professional conversations. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using:
- Email and password
- Google Sign-In
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
4. Subscription Plans & One-Time Purchases
4.1 Free Plan
The free plan includes:
- 10 AI responses per day
- Basic speech-to-text features
- Standard support
4.2 Pro and Pro Max Plans (Recurring Subscriptions)
The Pro and Pro Max plans include:
- Unlimited AI responses
- All premium features (Pro Max includes enhanced speed and quality)
- Priority support
4.3 Interview Pass and Meeting Pass (One-Time Purchases)
The Interview Pass and Meeting Pass are one-time, non-recurring purchases that grant a fixed amount of active usage time (for example, 2 hours of assisted listening). Time is consumed only when you are actively using the Service. These purchases do not auto-renew.
4.4 Billing
Pro and Pro Max subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. You authorize us and our payment processor (Razorpay) to charge your chosen payment method at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel. One-time purchases (Interview Pass, Meeting Pass) are billed once at the time of purchase. All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for ensuring your payment method remains valid; we are not liable for any consequences of a failed or declined payment.
4.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your recurring subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation stops all future billing. Cancellation is not a refund. When you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which your account automatically reverts to the Free plan. No partial, pro-rata, or unused-time refunds are issued on cancellation.
4.6 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle and will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5. No-Refund Policy
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, for any reason.
By completing a purchase of any AssistBee plan or pass, you expressly acknowledge and agree that the purchase is final and that you are not entitled to a refund, reversal, credit, exchange, or partial return of the amount paid, under any circumstances.
5.1 Cancellation Does Not Trigger a Refund
Cancelling your recurring subscription stops future billing only. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of any amount already charged, and no pro-rata or partial refund of the unused portion of the current billing period will be issued.
5.2 Interview Pass and Meeting Pass
Interview Pass and Meeting Pass are consumable one-time purchases. Once the purchase is completed, they are non-refundable under any circumstances, including where the user has not begun to use the pass, has used only a portion, or no longer wishes to use it. Unused time is forfeited and does not carry over.
5.3 Duplicate or Erroneous Charges Are Not Refunds
If Razorpay or your bank processes a charge that is a verifiable duplicate of another successful charge for the same plan, or processes a charge for an order that never resulted in an activated plan due to a technical failure on our side, the reversal of such a charge is a transaction correction, not a refund, and falls outside this No-Refund Policy in Section 5. To request a transaction correction, email support@assistbee.app within seven (7) days of the duplicate/erroneous charge, including the relevant Razorpay payment IDs. We have no obligation to correct transactions reported after this window.
5.4 Goodwill Credits (Optional, Discretionary)
Nothing in this Section 5 prevents us from offering, at our sole discretion and without any precedent or obligation, a service credit such as an extended plan or a complimentary Interview Pass as a goodwill gesture. Any such credit is offered in lieu of a refund, not as a refund. It is non-transferable, non-cashable, cannot be combined with other offers, and expires on the date communicated at the time of issue. The offering of a goodwill credit in one case does not entitle you or any other user to a credit in any other case.
5.5 Immediate Delivery of Digital Content — Express Consent and Waiver of Cancellation Right
AssistBee is a digital-content service. Many jurisdictions grant consumers a statutory cooling-off period, right of withdrawal, right of cancellation, or similar right to cancel a distance contract for a refund. These rights commonly do not apply to digital content where the consumer has given express consent to immediate performance and has acknowledged the loss of the cancellation right. By purchasing any plan, pass, or subscription, you:
- Expressly request and consent to the immediate supply of the digital content and the immediate commencement of the service, which begins the moment our systems confirm payment;
- Expressly acknowledge that by giving this consent, you lose any cooling-off period, right of withdrawal, right of cancellation, or equivalent right that would otherwise allow you to cancel the contract and obtain a refund, under the consumer-protection law of your country of habitual residence or any other applicable law;
- Expressly waive any such cooling-off period, right of withdrawal, or cancellation right to the fullest extent permitted by the applicable law;
- Confirm that you have read and understood this waiver before completing the purchase.
This waiver is in addition to, and does not reduce, the No-Refund Policy in Section 5. Where applicable law confers statutory rights that cannot be waived or excluded (for example, a non-waivable right to a repair, replacement, or refund for digital content that is genuinely faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality), those rights remain available to you. We expressly do not waive or exclude any statutory right that cannot lawfully be waived or excluded under the law applicable to you.
5.6 Chargebacks, Card-Network Disputes, and Statutory Issuer-Liability Schemes
Some jurisdictions impose statutory joint or secondary liability on the issuer of a credit card, debit card, or other payment instrument for certain consumer claims against the merchant (for example, schemes that give a cardholder a direct claim against their card issuer where the merchant has breached the contract or misrepresented the service). Nothing in these Terms removes such a non-waivable statutory right where it genuinely applies.
However, such schemes, and the chargeback rules of the Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, American Express, UPI, and other payment networks, typically require the consumer to show one of the following to succeed: a breach of contract by the merchant, a material misrepresentation, non-delivery of the service, or an unauthorized transaction. None of the following is a breach of contract, misrepresentation, or non-delivery by AssistBee, and therefore none is a valid basis for a chargeback, reversal, or card-issuer liability claim:
- A change of mind or buyer's remorse after the service is activated
- Dissatisfaction with the quality, speed, tone, or subjective usefulness of AI-generated responses
- Failure to achieve a particular outcome (for example, a job offer, interview success, or promotion)
- Your employer's, interviewer's, recruiter's, or platform's policy against AI tools
- Compatibility issues with your device, operating system, microphone, audio setup, network, VPN, or meeting platform
- Failure to cancel a recurring subscription before renewal
Initiating a chargeback, issuer-liability claim, or payment reversal in the absence of a genuine breach, misrepresentation, or non-delivery is a prohibited chargeback under Section 6.1, entitles us to the remedies in Section 6.3, and may also constitute payment fraud under applicable law.
6. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
We take payment disputes seriously and expect our users to do the same. If you believe a charge is incorrect, you agree to contact support@assistbee.app first and in good faith attempt to resolve the matter directly with us before initiating a chargeback, payment reversal, or dispute with your bank, card issuer, or payment network.
6.1 Prohibited Chargebacks
Because Section 5 establishes an absolute No-Refund Policy, you agree not to initiate a chargeback, payment reversal, bank dispute, or consumer-forum complaint seeking a refund for any charge validly made for a plan or pass activated on your account. This includes, without limitation, charges arising from:
- Use of the Service followed by a change of mind
- Dissatisfaction with AI output quality, speed, or interview outcome
- Failure to cancel before a recurring renewal (cancellation instructions are available in your account)
- Any charge you have already received as a service extension or goodwill credit
- A family member, colleague, employer, or other party using your payment method, device, or credentials
- Your inability to use the Service due to your employer's or interviewer's policy
Initiating a chargeback in the circumstances above constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may also constitute payment fraud under applicable law. The only legitimate basis for a payment reversal is a duplicate or erroneous charge under Section 5.3, which must be reported to us first.
6.2 Evidence of Service Delivery
You acknowledge that we maintain detailed records of service delivery, including but not limited to: account registration and email verification logs, payment confirmations, login timestamps, IP and device identifiers, AI request counts, audio processing events, feature usage, transcript generation, and in-app activity. You consent to our submitting these records as evidence to Razorpay, your card issuer, payment network (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, UPI network), bank, or any regulator or court in response to a dispute.
6.3 Consequences of an Improper Chargeback
If you initiate a chargeback that is subsequently resolved in our favour, or that we determine in good faith was made in breach of Section 6.1, we reserve the right to, at our sole discretion and without limiting other remedies:
- Immediately suspend or permanently terminate your account and all associated accounts
- Permanently blacklist your email address, payment instruments, and device identifiers from future use of the Service
- Recover from you the full disputed amount, plus any chargeback fees assessed to us by Razorpay or the payment network (typically ₹500–₹1,500 per dispute), plus reasonable administrative and legal costs
- Report the matter to Razorpay, the relevant card network, credit bureaus, cybercrime authorities, and, where applicable, civil or criminal courts in India
- Engage collection agencies or legal counsel to recover amounts owed
6.4 Your Covenant
By making a payment, you represent and warrant that (i) you are the authorized holder of the payment instrument used, (ii) you have read and agree to the No-Refund Policy in Section 5, and (iii) you will not seek reversal of any charge except through the process described in Section 5.3.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Cheat or engage in academic dishonesty
- Harm, harass, or impersonate others
- Distribute malware or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the application
- Use automated scripts or bots to abuse the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
8. Ethical Use and Disclaimer
Important Notice: AssistBee is designed as an interview preparation and assistance tool. Users are solely responsible for how they use the Service.
We strongly encourage ethical use of our Service. Using AssistBee to misrepresent your abilities, cheat in interviews, or deceive potential employers may:
- Violate the terms of employment agreements
- Result in termination of employment
- Damage your professional reputation
- Violate interview policies of companies
We recommend using AssistBee for interview preparation, practice, and confidence building rather than during actual interviews where such assistance may not be permitted.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of AssistBee or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
9.2 Your Rights
You retain all rights to the content you create using the Service. However, by using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and analyze your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
10.1 "As Is" Service
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10.2 No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee that use of the Service will result in successful interview outcomes, job offers, or any specific results. AI-generated responses are suggestions and may not always be accurate or appropriate.
10.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AssistBee shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, employment, interview outcome, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the amount you actually paid to us in the thirty (30) days immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees), whichever is lower.
10.4 Service Interruptions
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may need to perform maintenance or updates that could temporarily affect availability.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AssistBee, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or any chargeback or payment dispute initiated in breach of Section 6.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services including Azure Speech Services, Azure OpenAI, Google Identity Services, and Razorpay (for payment processing). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions, outages, or policies of these third-party services.
13. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
14. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Subject to Section 16 (Dispute Resolution), you and AssistBee irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, for any matter arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
International consumers. If you are acting as a consumer (i.e., for purposes wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft, or profession) and you are habitually resident outside India in a country whose laws grant you mandatory consumer-protection rights that cannot be derogated from by agreement, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of those mandatory rules. Where the law of your country of habitual residence grants you a non-waivable right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country, that right is not affected by the forum-selection clause above. Except for claims that must, under mandatory local law applicable to you, be brought in another forum, all other disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Chennai courts as set out above.
16. Dispute Resolution
Step 1 — Good-faith contact. Before initiating any formal dispute (including any bank chargeback, payment reversal, consumer-forum filing, or lawsuit), you agree to contact us in writing at support@assistbee.app and allow us a period of at least thirty (30) days to investigate and, where appropriate, resolve the dispute.
Step 2 — Arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved under Step 1, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration conducted in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed by AssistBee, the seat and venue of arbitration shall be Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and the language of arbitration shall be English. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
Class action waiver. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit, class-wide arbitration, or representative proceeding. All disputes must be brought in your individual capacity.
Limitation period. Any claim you bring against us must be filed within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim, or it is permanently barred.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AssistBee regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
